To really ground and define the space the ceiling was lowered in the kitchen and made flat to contrast with the vaulted ceiling above. It was also made warmer by using Oak Veneer.
Strip lighting was used inside the pantry to draw your eye up highlighting the shelves, strip lighting was also used under the cupboard at the front of the island and on the ceiling. The pantry is behind a Hafele Hawa-Concepta system. When the doors are closed they are flush with adjacent cabinets which are a sharp black matte which gives the room weight while making a bold statement. When doors are opened you have full access to the cabinetry below and the shelves above, the shelves give the owners easy access to everyday items such as coffee.
The same colour pallet was kept throughout the house with the use of oak veneer for the TV unit and floating shelves in the lounge.
The result, a simple crisp palette, featuring quality products such as the stunning oak veneer, and the benchtops in TriStone and Dekton make this show home kitchen a space to relax and enjoy.
